River & Glen fresh, wild, sustainable day boat seafood. River & Glen is delighted to introduce our Fresh, Wild Sustainable Seafood
program.
Our emphasis is on procuring for you the highest quality, freshest, sustainable fish possible. In order to do this, we work directly with the small day boats that harvest from the following locations: Yakutat, Alaska; Neah Bay and LaPush in the State of Washington; Portland, Maine; Cherbourg in Normandy, France and also from the fishing village of Urk in the Netherlands. The boats are independently owned and operated. Many of the fishermen catch the fish by hook and line rather than by net. This method of fishing allows the fisherman to carefully handle each fish individually. Each fish is immediately bled, cleaned and iced at sea to insure optimum freshness. This insures a quality second to none. The fish are then hand selected and individually packed at the dock in specially designed airfreight boxes for our customers. The quality and freshness of the fish speaks for itself. |
