Raised from egg to production in Sullivan County, New York, the River & Glen Moulard duck is a hybrid of a Muscovy and a Pekin duck. This wonderful “cross” results in a considerably larger bird with a distinct flavor. Our Moulard duck breasts have a rich, intense flavor that is the direct result of the way in which the ducks are raised. They are fed a vegetarian diet of white corn and soy. They are “free-range” and never caged. At no time in the life of our ducks are they administered antibiotics, preservatives or chemicals of any kind. Our ducks are raised the “old-fashioned” way and take twice as long to reach market size than commercially raised ducks. At no time is our duck breast frozen. The result of these factors working together results in a much leaner and far more flavorful bird- arguably the finest quality Moulard duck breast on the market today.
